I like people, I like their diversity. I'm especially interested in children, because they still have the wonderful ability to see our world differently, the way we adults seem to forget, or unreachable any more. I hope I can continue to learn from them, through my volunteering programs, or photo projects, and become a better version of myself every single day.
As you navigate through my CV, you'll learn more about my experiences and how they have shaped me into the person I am today.
MY PROJECTS
Volunteering has been in important part of my life. I believe by playing an active role in a community helps me to understand myself better. We are not different from those in need, just in a better situation. Refugees, homeless, kids in need are high on my agenda to raise funds and run aid projects. On this site you will find some, I'm really proud of.
I give this space to my stories and life lessons I have collected over the years. These stories are told through a growing collection of street photographs. My main purpose with this project is to learn how to live a simple but meaningful life and express myself with a mixture of words and images.
Love To Eat Veg
I discovered the last couple of years how good plant based food is for my body and my soul. I simply feel better by eating plants, instead of animals. I'm also learning more every day about sustainability. Green smoothies, market shoppings, good cook books and more to come on this site. COMING SOON !
EXPERIENCE
Property Development
Budapest, Hungary
2014-today
I have a great interest in interior design. In Budapest, I have re-designed several apartments, a pub, and a guest house. I like how a space adopts to the needs of the owners, how colors change the mood, and by re-organizing the layout helps to create a more functioning living - working space. I carried this interest on to my charity projects, where I organized projects to upgrade kindergatens and children's homes.

The Caledonia Scottish Pub
Budapest, Hungary
2006-2018
Restaurant and Shop Manager
Business Owner
This business was set up by myself and Patrick McMenamin. We wanted to create an international space, with good food and entertainment, a place to "come home to". It was a very successful downtown Budapest spot, and home to many charity events supporting a range of causes. We catered for movie premiers, company highlights and hundreds of private functions on the premise and outside. Our whisky tasting experiences were the talk of the town, likewise fun live music events and pub quiezes.
I'm proud that we initiated a lot of charity projects, supported by our clients, guests and friends. Highlighting some of the best ones:
IHBC Person of the Year Award
6th District quiet capaign
The Budapest VI.th district authorities got a lot of complaint about the noise level during the night, mostly caused by the clients of late closing restaurants, pubs and clubs. It got so serious that that the local government decided to close all catering and entertaining units at 10pm. The Caledonia team took a leading role in negotiating a "quiet campaign", asking customers to turn down their voices. We designed beer coasters, posters etc with the aid of a local brewery and celebrities of the district. As a result, the ban was lifted.
